Welcome to Dialect, Golley Slater's quarterly regional research into the lives of the people of the UK

This is the second edition in the project series by Golley Slater to research people's attitudes, preferences and sentiment to all of the different factors that affect their daily lives. We aim to provide a unique insight into the differences and similarities of the people who inhabit the regions and nations of the UK.

As consumers move ever rapidly from trusting brands through the advertising they see, to trusting the guidance of family, friends and trusted "experts", we'll monitor, the ways in which regional cultures impact perception and involvement in consumers' trust in media and brand development .

Over time, we aim to create a vast wealth of data, insight and understanding of different people, that when looked at regionally will form a detailed insight into the communities of that area and when viewed all together will give a unique perspective of the UK as never seen before from the grass roots upwards.
