On 3 June, PR consultants from around East Anglia will quiz some of the region’s leading journalists on their experiences, views on the changing media landscape and how to work with the media at an exclusive event - Meet the Media  - which is being hosted by Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) East Anglia at the Forum in Norwich.

The panel of journalists who will go under the PR spotlight are:

·          David Powles, Archant Norfolk

·          Louise Priest, BBC Look East

·          Neil Perry, Heart 102.4 FM

Meet the Media has been organised by the East Anglia branch of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), the PR industry’s leading professional body. CIPR East Anglia has in the region of 400 members across Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex and has organised the event for any practitioner in the region who wishes to build an even better understanding of the region’s media and their challenges.

Rachael Paddick, the new and youngest ever Chair of CIPR East Anglia said: “PR is a fast growth sector in the region, reflecting the increasing demand from businesses to communicate effectively with customers and the wider public. Working with the media is a vital part of their communications. To enable PR professionals to help businesses achieve their goals, we must keep abreast of developments and trends in the media world. We are delighted that so many senior journalists are willing to share their experiences with us. Meet the Media is a fantastic opportunity to hear direct from journalists and to network.”

Tickets for Meet the Press are available from Simon Mckay at simon.mckay1@btinternet.com or by calling 01353 741075 at £12.00 for CIPR members and £18.00 for non-members.
